San Diego Stadium Coalition Welcomes Dan McLellan as Vice President

McLellan Excited to Join Forces with Like-Minded Individuals

SAN DIEGO (March 12, 2015) – The San Diego Stadium Coalition is excited to announce the addition of former Save Our Bolts Director of Communication Dan McLellan.

Dan will be joining the group as Vice President.

“The stadium issue is extremely complex, especially here in San Diego,” says Jason Riggs, San Diego Stadium Coalition Co-Founder and Chairman. “Adding someone like Dan who has been analyzing this issue and potential solutions for the past decade will be a major asset to the SDSC and our efforts to help keep the Chargers in San Diego.”

Dan McLellan has been a sports writer in San Diego since 2008. In October of 2009, he broke the story for that Mayor Sanders had re-engaged the Chargers in stadium talks and the focus had turned to downtown. McLellan served as the Chargers beat writer for for three seasons (2010-12). In 2012, McLellan co-hosted Sports Squawk Sunday with Doug & Dan on XTRA Sports 1360. McLellan most recently served as Director of Communications for Save Our Bolts where he played a critical role in the group’s rapid growth. He is also a 23-year Chargers season ticket holder, and has worked with the Chargers as a private contractor providing game day entertainment.

“I’m excited to join forces with like-minded individuals who are focused on finding the right stadium solution for all of San Diego,” said McLellan. “Together, I am confident that we will help pave the road for America’s Finest City to have a new state-of-the-art multi-use stadium for generations to enjoy.”
