SDSC APPRECIATES THE TASK FORCE’S EFFORTS AND WILL REVIEW PLAN
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (May 18, 2015) – The San Diego Stadium Coalition is pleased that the Mayor’s Citizens’ Stadium Advisory Group has delivered their proposed framework for a plan between the Chargers and the City/County of San Diego to build a new stadium in Mission Valley.
“We’ve been working on this since 2008 so we appreciate the high degree of complexity involved with any stadium plan,” says Jason Riggs, San Diego Stadium Coalition Co-Founder and Chairman. “We have done our best to assist and publicly support the CSAG in their effort to deliver a workable plan for Mission Valley. We are glad that something tangible is on the table for all of the stakeholders to review as a starting point for future negotiations.”
About The San Diego Stadium Coalition
Founded in 2008, the San Diego Stadium Coalition is an organization whose members are fully committed to working with municipal entities to facilitate the construction of a world-class stadium within San Diego County, which will serve as a home for the San Diego Chargers, SDSU Aztecs, College Bowl Games, and other events. The group’s commitment is fueled by a passion for local sports, an acute understanding of the San Diego market and an unyielding desire to keep high profile events and the Chargers (the region’s only NFL franchise) within the County. The coalition strongly believes that we will achieve our goal by working transparently with key stakeholders including citizens, politicians, and regional business leaders.
